Position Description :
Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is looking for a per diem Out Patient Pharmacist.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Filling orders for drugs
Monitoring patient drug therapies and providing drug information
Supervising and directing supportive Pharmacy personnel
Performing duties appropriately for the age population served, as defined in the department's scope of service
Preparing and dispensing drug orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures and protocols
Ensuring safe, appropriate, cost effective drug therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures and protocols
Contributing to the quality and effective operation of the department through supervision of pharmacy support personnel
Minimum Requirements :
Please apply if you possess these qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Science in Pharmacy And
3+ years Prior hospital pharmacy experience
Pharm.D from an accredited College of Pharmacy And Prior hospital pharmacy experience
Current active Pharmacist PA license in good standing
Skills and Abilities
Understanding of the Joint Commission and Department of Health process
Strong communication skills with all levels of staff and personnel
Must demonstrate the ability to perform dosage calculations
Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
Ability to ensure positive patient outcomes
