Summary:

  • Provides direct and high quality clinical care and customer service for EAP clients. Provides utilization management reviews for all levels of care for TPA accounts. Represents EAP at Health Fairs, Employee Orientations, Lunch- and- Learn Seminars, and other EAP- related functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides prompt, professional, and clinically appropriate access to EAP services for all contracted clients

  • Conducts evaluations and short-term therapy for a mental health/substance abuse problems

  • Coordinates legal consultations to Workplace Options Legal Assist program for EAP clients

  • Researches and provides referral information for behavioral and non-behavioral health issues

  • Facilitates call transfer to Workplace Options Care Coordinators as detailed in Warm Transfer Protocol

  • Provides telephonic case management and utilization review services to company clients and their employees/members

  • Conducts internal and external management/supervisor training and consultation services for EAP clients.

  • Conducts onsite counseling, Critical Incident Stress Debriefings, workshops and employee orientations for EAP clients

  • Documents clinical and program activities in an accurate, timely, and professional manner in available data bases

  • Represents EAP in a professional and effective manner to client companies and community members

  • Works with Clinical Coordinator and other EAP team members to assure a high quality, relevant program

  • Develops and delivers special assigned projects

  • Appropriately utilizes time in the performance of all clinical and assigned administrative functions

  • Demonstrates responsibility for efficient utilization of products, resources, supplies, equipment, and departmental space

  • Engages in effective communications with all staff to ensure smooth operations, effective problem solving, and enhanced team interactions

  • Supports customer service and performance improvement goals of the department; collaborates with other caregivers/staff, within and outside the Department, to develop means of enhancing patient care and service

  • Maintains standards of confidentiality

  • Age-Specific Knowledge & Skills – Possesses the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to meet patients’ physical, psychological and social needs with those growth and development levels/patient populations served within the department

  • Participates in unit compliance as related to established standards

  • Other duties as assigned by Clinical Coordinator

  • Completes all required PHCS annual competencies

Credentials:

  • LCSW or LPC or PS (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Master of Arts or Science (Required)

  • Minimum of a Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited college or university.Minimum of five- (5) years’ post-graduate clinical experience in a behavioral health care setting. Experience working with Employee Assistance Programs and conducting utilization management reviews preferred.
