Summary:

  • The Barista provide a fast and friendly customer service experience in our Bistro or Café'. The Barista duties include making hand-crafted coffee and tea drinks, serves prepared food items, use of cash register, as well as ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Greets customers and takes orders; processes cash and credit card transactionsPrepares and serves hot and cold beverages according to Starbuck everage preparation and service guidelinesMintains knowledge of menu items and recipes to effectively service the customer.Maintains appearance of Bistro or Café ensuring product is stocked to appropriate levels and all areas are properly cleaned and sanitizedProperly prepares and handles foods and equipment to ensure infection control and safety.Ensure labeling, dating and freshness of all product before using and follow First In, First Out standards.Cleans equipment, counters, food service areas and production areas using appropriate chemicals and cleaning procedures. Reassembles equipment that has been taken apart for cleaning.Ensure effective and economical use, especially in the portioning and storage of food. Accountable for equipment provided on the job (e.g. knives, aprons, small equipment).Demonstrates neat, timely and orderly receiving, transport and rotation of stock and food suppliesMoney management is accurate when working the register. Employee is accountable for receipts, merchandise and Health System property and equipment; as well as, deposit accuracy for safe/bank cash drops.Performs duties in accordance with county and state Health codes and Joint Commission regulations.Reports potential infection control issues or violations to supervisor or manager in a timely manner.
